Before you go to Dunkin read this.

Working at Dunkin Donuts I have realized that some people don't know a few things. So I would like to clear a few things up. This will make not only our job easier but will make your next Dunkin stop smoother.
1.Drive Thru is on a timer: That's right, we are on a timer. From the time you hit the speaker till you drive away with your stuff you are being timed. Most places the goal is 120 seconds or 2 mins. That being said if you come through and you order 10 coffees and 5 sandwiches. That will put a big dent in our timer and will mess up our average. So please if you have a big order come inside. OR you can use the new mobile app where you order on your phone and when you get to the store it is already ready and waiting for you!
2.When we hear "regular" we assume you mean regular cream and sugar: If you come in and say "i want a medium regular coffee" we will already have typed in "Med hot, reg cream and sugar" Again we are on a time so we are typing in orders fast. Regular cream and sugar are as follows..Small-2&2 Med-3&3 Large-4&4. So if you come through and say "I would like a med regular..(pause)..with 5 creams and 3 sugars, french vanilla with less ice" during your pause we have already typed in med reg cream and sugar. So when you have finished then we have to delete the whole thing and then retype in a med ICE coffee with the amount of cream and sugar you requested. That brings me to my next point.
3.There IS a proper way to order your coffee: No, I am not talking about how you want it, you can order it however you want. I am talking about the order of how you want it. It is as follows...Size, hot/iced/coldbrew, flavor (if any), and finally what you want for cream or sugar. So for example "I would like a med, iced coffee, french vanilla with cream and sugar" (if you don't specify the amount of cream and sugar we will put in the normal amount)
4. We don't have a line or 3-4 people making sandwiches: If you order 5 sandwiches, it is going to take a min or 2 for them to be made. There is only one person over there and most of the time they are making orders for both drive-thru and walk in orders. So please be patient.
5.We dont do half sugars/creams: Cream and sugar are dispensed out of a machine. They are in whole numbers. So if you want a coffee with 3 and a half sugars, chances are you will get 3 sugars or 4. If you really want a half a sugar just ask for an extra packet and put it in when you get it.
6.EVERYTHING is toasted unless otherwise requested: So if you want a bagel it will get toasted, a sandwich? yep that is toasted too. So you don't have to say "can I get a ham egg and cheese on a plain bagel toasted"
7.We don't melt the sugar unless requested: I can't tell you how many times someone has ordered a coffee and said "dont melt my sugar" or "how come the sugar isnt melted". If you want it melted you have to ask us to. If you dont want it melted just say how much sugar you want in it we wont melt it.
8. We have NO control over the DDPerks app: If your coffee wasnt the "sale price". I am sorry. I have no control over that. If it was supposed to be a certain price and it wasnt you have to contact the DDPerks people and take it up with them.
9. Dunkin is a franchise: All prices are different, all rules are different, not all Dunkins have the same thing. It is up to the franchise owner. Also if you bring me a coffee that a Dunkin messed up that wasnt part of our franchise. We will not make it free of charge. We will happily sell you a new one. Now if you bring us a coffee one of our stores did mess up then we will happily remake it free of charge for you.
11. We do not have flavored coffee: All our coffee is brewed as regular coffee. If you order a flavored coffee we add the flavor to it whether it be a swirl or a shot. A swirl is a sweetened syrup. A shot is an unsweetened zero calorie liquid.
12.We have 4 choices as to what we can put in your coffee: Cream, whole milk, skim milk, and almond milk. That's it!
13. Lastly, We do not control the prices: When you tear apart an employee because the coffee you got yesterday was 50 cents cheaper at a different dunkin like they PERSONALLY made the prices. You are yelling at the wrong person. Like I said previously everything is up to the franchise owner. We as employees are people too, we have stress and problems in our daily lives just like you. We are just trying to pay our bills the same way you do.
